@102 Volgens mij had het supreme court zich er al eerder over uitgesproken maar was de uitspraak onbeslist (4-4), daardoor mocht dit dus wel gebeuren zolang ze de late stemmen maar gescheiden werden.
Mocht het hof nu wel besluiten om die stemmen ongeldig te verklaren, dan is er nog niets aan de hand want ook dan gaat Pennsylvania gewoon naar Biden, volgens de indiener van dat order:

Powell heeft bewijzen in handen van zaken die groter zijn dan de herverkiezing van Trump. Partijdigheid in haar geval zou een averechts gevolg voor de zaken bij de rechters kunnen hebben want die zijn dan verplicht op haar republikeinse insteek te wijzen. Uiteraard oordeelt een rechter in de VS dat stemmen apart moeten worden gehouden en zal deze nimmer oordelen dat stemmen vernietigd moeten worden.
Een stem uitbrengen is een grondwettelijk recht. A man - a vote.

Verder ging het om een poging van de Dems om stemmen na 3-11 toe te laten, dat stond niet in de kieswet en is dus terecht afgewezen, door de staatsrechter al, het SC heeft dat op verzoek van de Reps nog eens bevestigd.
