Alaa is an ambulance driver and rescuer, and until December 2016 he lived in East Aleppo, Syria, where war has been raging since 2011. At the end of 2015 thanks to donations from our group, Alaa opened 'The House cats of Ernesto'
The sanctuary fed nearly 200 cats and also a few dogs. Each day Alaa posted pictures on the group page for members to view.
Alaa also helped humans As a rescuer and ambulance driver (his ambulance was bombed 4 times) Alaa rescued hundreds of people and in addition, with help from members of our group, helped children, orphans, widows, the elderly, the poor, the disabled, those still living in a Christian retirement home, and many others as well as the animals he met, especially cats.
Sadly on November 16 2016 the House of Ernesto, the playground for children “Garden of Hope”, the group’s ambulance and Alaa's home were bombed.
as the bombing continued many of the feral cats from the House of Ernesto died.
A dream that will make into reality with the help of donations from our group: to buy land and build a new sanctuary for cats and dogs with a playground for children
