Axios reporter Juliegrace Brufke revealed Sunday evening that Rep. Jim Jordan's (R-OH) tactics are annoying moderates as he uses far-right allies to pressure them into electing him as House speaker.

Jordan is using Fox host Sean Hannity to help put pressure on the non-Jordan supporters.

An email was given to her revealing "Stephanie" from Sean Hannity's show is emailing officials asking to confirm they are not supporting Jordan.

"Can you please let me know if this is accurate?" the email says "And, if true, Hannity would like to know why during a war breaking out between Israel and Hamas, with the war in Ukraine, with the wide open borders, with a budget that's unfinished why would Rep. xxxx be against Jim Jordan for speaker? Please let us know when Rep xxx plans on opening the People's House so work can be done. Lastly, are there any conditions Rep xxxx will work with Democrats on the process of electing a new speaker? The deadline for comment is 11 AM tomorrow 10/16. Thank you."

Hannity is sending potential defectors the email.

"One lawmaker said the push is counterproductive to swaying Jordan skeptics" posted Brufke.

It's a point Punchbowl's Jake Sherman agreed with, noting "the outside pressure rarely works and almost always backfires."
