War update: 36 combat clashes along front line on Sat

The Russian Federation continues to wage a war of aggression, despite significant losses as 36 military clashes took place over the past day.

This is stated in the morning summary delivered by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

Ukraine’s Air Force carried out nine strikes on enemy manpower and equipment clusters. The Ukrainian military also downed four reconnaissance UAVs.

"Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s missile and artillery forces have hit an artillery system in a firing position, an ammunition depot, an electronic warfare station, as well as an enemy manpower cluster," the military said.

In total, over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched eight missile strikes, 33 air strikes, and fired 53 rocket salvos strikes at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are victims among the civilian population as residential buildings were destroyed.

"The likelihood of further missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high," the General Staff says.

On the Volyn and Poliske axes, the situation has not changed significantly. No signs of enemy offensive groups being formed were detected.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the Russian invasion forces carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements. Among them is Mykolaivka, Chernihiv region; Stara Huta, Hrabovske, Budivelne, and Volfyne of Sumy region; Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Okhrymivka, Ohirtseve, and Tykhe of Kharkiv region.

On the Kupiansk axis, the settlements of Topoli, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kislivka, Berestove, Kindrashivka, and Kupiansk of Kharkiv region came under the Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the Russians ran unsuccessful offensive attempts in the Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka districts of Luhansk region. The settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamianske, Torske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were subjected to artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, more than 15 settlements were hit by Russian artillery, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, and Druzhba.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the Nevelske area. More than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, and Novokalynove of Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the Marinka direction, Ukraine’s defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops. The enemy carried out an air strike in the Krasnohorivka areas and shelled over 15 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, and Heorhiivka in Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Makarivka and Staromayorske districts and shelled the settlements of Yelizavetivka, Odradne, Blahodatne, Makarivka, Rivnopil, Staromayorske, and Vilne Pole of Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the Russians are concentrating their main efforts on preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region and Antonivka in Kherson region. More than 30 settlements, including Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Mali Shcherbaki, and Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia region,; Zolota Balka, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Tyahinka, and Mykhailivka of Kherson region were hit by artillery fire. At the same time, Ukraine’s Defense Forces of Ukraine proceed with their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s defense forces have already eliminated 245,220 Russian forces.
