Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt has been putting in the hard yards during the club's training camp in Morocco.

Van Aanholt has been a key figure in the Eagles' recent revival under Sam Allardyce, which has seen the relegation threatened side win three out of their last four league games.

And the former Chelsea left-back is not taking his foot off the pedal as he looks to secure Palace's top flight status.

Van Aanholt has posted a photograph of himself during a gruelling exercise bike workout whilst wearing an ultra-modern face mask, made by UAE-based firm Altitude Mask (altitude-mask.com).

The piece of kit, which replicates high resistance conditions, has been used by a host of high-profile sport stars, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as they look for a vital edge in their training regimes.

Palace do not have a fixture this weekend and Allardyce has taken the opportunity to take his squad abroad for some warm weather training.

Van Aanholt was carried off on a stretcher during Palace's 2-0 win at West Bromwich on Saturday but appears to have suffered no lasting effects.
