  • He said an LGBTQ+ Health Center was invited into the classroom and passed around dildos, butt plugs and lube to children aged between 14 and 18
  • School officials say Bruno was 'targeted' by Project Veritas, and that the site edited the video 'deceptively' and with 'malicious intent'

The dean of an elite school in Chicago has been caught on video openly discussing how students as young as 14 were handed dildos and butt plugs during 'comprehensive' sex education classes.

In the video, Joseph Bruno, 41, told an undercover reporter from the conservative news website Project Veritas that the school aims to teach students at the Francis W. Parker School all about queer sexual intercourse.

'During Pride — we do a Pride Week every year – I had like our LGBTQ+ Health Center come in. They were passing around butt-plugs and dildos to my students — talking about queer sex, using lube versus using spit,' Bruno says.

He also disclosed that a drag queen had been invited into the classroom, who took photos with the children and handed out cookies.

In the video posted by conservative media organization Project Veritas, Joseph Bruno discusses his comprehensive approach to sexual education for students

The video, shared to Project Veritas' Twitter account, which has one million followers, has been viewed more than 3.5 million times.

During the conversation, Bruno, who has been dean of students for four years according to the video, describes just how up close and personal the students get with the objects.

'The kids are just playing with 'em, looking at 'em… They're like, 'How does this butt-plug work? How do we do – like, how does this work?' That's a really cool part of my job,' he says.

When the man filming asks if everyone is 'cool' with that and if he has received any complaints, Bruno simply responds no.

And when the Project Veritas reporter goes on to ask if parents - who pay fees of $40,000 to send their children to the school - might be worried if they found out, he says: 'No, it's queer sex.'

The man also mentions that during Pride Week, the school invited guests, including drag queen Alexis Bevins, to 'hang out' with the students.

According to school officials who spoke with DailyMail.com, the video was taken without Bruno's approval and edited with 'malicious intent'

'We had a drag queen come in, pass out cookies and brownies and do photos,' Bruno says.

The Project Veritas member follows up by saying: 'You have so much freedom, so much wiggle room - to which Bruno responds: 'So much freedom. So much money to do stuff.'

When asked if the trustees were okay with it, Bruno claimed he hadn't told other school administrators about the sexual objects being shown to the students.

'They don't know,' Bruno states.

'Francis W. Parker cares deeply about the health, well-being, and development of our students. Programs designed to help cultivate physical and emotional well-being as well as a strong sense of belonging are central to our mission,' said a school official.

They continued, stating that Project Veritas had tricked Bruno into speaking.

Officials said Bruno believed he was describing the school's approach to sex education with another educator.

'Last week – at an industry conference – one of our employees was targeted by a member of Project Veritas and misled to believe he was conversing with another conference attendee over a coffee,' the official said.
