Chicago Police Spox: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by #ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report (Class 4 felony). Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury.

The Osundairo brothers were spotted entering a grand jury room around 3:45 PM CT, however it is unclear if they are actually testifying.

On January 29th, ‘Empire’ actor Jussie Smollett told Chicago Police that two white Trump supporters ambushed him on the streets of Chicago at 2 AM while he was walking back to his apartment following a midnight run to Subway to grab a sandwich.

Smollett alleged the two white males recognized him as the actor from ‘Empire,’ hurled racist and homophobic slurs at him, poured bleach on him and put a noose around his neck.

The hate hoax began to unravel after it was revealed two Nigerian brothers, who were also extras on Empire were paid $4,000 to stage the attack.

On Wednesday, CBS also obtained surveillance video of the Osundairo brothers buying “supplies” from a store before the fake MAGA assault on Jussie Smollett.

Sources told CBS News that Jussie Smollett told the brothers what to buy and countless phone calls were placed for this.

Red hats and ski masks were among the items purchased by the brothers.

The video shows the brothers placing various items on the counter as the cashier rings up their order.

Jussie Smollett’s indictment appears to be imminent.
