Barack Obama suggests Trump has ‘mommy issues’ that make him incapable of fixing America’s problems

BARACK Obama has suggested Donald Trump has "mommy issues" - making him incapable of fixing America's problems.

Appearing to blast Trump's presidency, Obama told a large crowd at Chicago's Mariott Marquis Hotel that the world now "badly needs remaking".

Without making a direct reference to the US President, Obama said: "The reason we don't do it is because we are still confused, blind, shrouded with hate, anger, racism, mommy issues."

He believes there are a number of issues surrounding climate change, education, agriculture, but they are made out to be more complicated than they actually are.

Speaking to author Dave Eggers at the Obama Foundation Summit, last night, Obama said the people involved in making important decisions are the ones not making the world a better place.

He added: "What prevents us from implementing most of the things that we would probably collectively agree would make the world better is not the absence of technological solutions, it's because there are humans involved and that the dynamics of the society."

Trump's mum Mary MacLeod Trump, died in 2000.

He once said she was responsible for "what I've done and so much of what I've become".

But she made a number of damning remarks about Donald throughout the 90s, when his business began to fail.

Since leaving office, Obama has made avoided directly attacking Trump, but he didn't hold back during the midterm election campaigns.

In September, Obama questioned, "what happened to the Republican Party", as he accused Trump of "capitalising on fear and anger".

He went on to say the name Trump was a "symptom, not the cause", of ailments in US politics.

Even former First Lady Michelle has recently made sharp Trump references.

In her new book, Michelle wrote that she was unable to put on a smile during his inauguration.

She wrote: "Someone from Barack's administration might have said that the optics there were bad, that what the public saw didn't reflect the President's reality or ideals, but in this case, maybe it did,

The two-day Obama summit was held for civic innovators and community activists from around the world to exchange ideas.
