Davy Klaassen joined Everton from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
Klaassen joined Everton from Ajax in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £23.6 million.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder arrived at Goodison Park with a strong reputation, but the Netherlands international has failed to make a massive impact on Merseyside so far.
The former Ajax star has been able to make just three starts in the Premier League for Everton so far this season.
The performances of Klaassen have been uninspiring, and former Celtic and Arsenal forward Nicholas has stated that he has not ready for the Premier League.
Nicholas said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News on Saturday afternoon (12:48pm, September 30, 2017): “Klaassen has not settled down for me yet. He doesn’t look as if he is ready for the Premier League yet.”
Meanwhile, former Arsenal star Martin Keown has suggested that Everton forward Wayne Rooney must feel like he is playing under Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.
Keown made the comments following Everton’s failure to win against Apollon Limassol on Thursday evening.
“It would have been interesting to speak to Wayne Rooney after the final whistle, does he almost now feel like he’s playing for van Gaal?” The Daily Mail quotes Keown as saying.
